Philip’s Fast Dinner Ideas

To assist you in fasting during this period of preparation for the Feast of the Nativity, we have prepared this list of dinner ideas. Each meal is linked to a recipe page at an outside website. (In some cases, it may be necessary to scroll down the recipe page to find the recipe listed for the day.)

    Might I humbly suggest that if it takes you longer to prepare the meal than to eat it, it can hardly be called “fasting”.

    I think in this modern world of convenience, we might be more in keeping with the spirit of the fast by restricting ourselves to a plain bologna sandwich on fast days than eating some sumptuous oil-meat-and dairy-free elaborately prepared fancy recipes.
